Amy's Favorites

My employees and I love swapping our latest product finds, and we’re sharing them with you in our monthly series: Employee Favorites.

Each month, you’ll get their latest fave beauty, fashion, and lifestyle products. In case you missed it, last month was me!

Up this month is Amy!

Uggs. Ah, it finally feels like fall! And who isn’t excited to bust out their Uggs? My feet are always cold and therefore they’re the most amazing shoe this time of year.

Olaplex Hair Perfector. If you have damaged hair, Olaplex will help strengthen and protect your locks. It’s great for reducing breakage and restoring the appearance of health and texture to your hair.

MAC Brow Pencil. If I don’t do anything else with my makeup, at least I do my brows with my eye brow pencil from MAC. I use the color Spiked, and it’s the perfect shade for my brows.

Fresh Sugar Lip Balm. This hydrating lip balm also packs SPF 15 and comes in a sheer hue or clear color. I love this product, especially right now with the weather changes. It works great for chapped lips.

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. Holy grail alert! Full coverage with a matte finish makes this concealer a must-have. It effortlessly conceals and has become my fave… I’ve tried about “920” others.

Facial in a Bottle by Sorella. Sorella Apothecary’s Facial in a bottle has made a huge difference in my skin. Its azelaic serum helps reduce hyperpigmentation and fine lines.

Tiffani's Easy Contour & Highlight

Since you all loved my last video, Mama Makeup Routine 6 Minute Makeover, I’ve decided to do some more quick how-to videos. (If you missed my 6 Minute Makeover, you can find the video plus all of the products I used here.)

My newest video shows you how to do an Easy Contour and Highlight. I’ve included the video below plus a quick step-by-step guide featuring the products I used.

What else would you love to learn? Share in the comments below.

Step 1: Apply Primer

Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer. Give your makeup lasting power by applying this primer first. It will help your foundation go on more evenly and minimize shine.

Step 2: Conceal Imperfections

Once my primer is set, I use two different concealers, both by Benefit Cosmetics.

Benefit Cosmetics Boi-ing Brightening Concealer. First I apply shade No. 1 light. You’ll notice in the video, I use the Brightening Concealer to spot treat my melasma and dark spots.

Benefit Cosmetics Boi-ing Hydrating Concealer. Next I apply the hydrating concealer. I recommend choosing a shade or two lighter than your skin tone. After you apply, use a Beauty Blender (or similar tool) to blend. Make sure your Beauty Blender is slightly damp for this step.

Step 3: Apply Foundation

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation. This is my all-time favorite foundation. Here, I’m using the shade Punjab and applying it with an It Cosmetics Brush. Make sure you blend, blend, blend… down to your neck to prevent any lines of demarcation.

Step 4: Apply Highlighter

Suva Beauty Illuminating Drops. I discovered this amazing illuminator through Ipsy. Suva Beauty’s Trust Fund illuminator is perfect for creating a dewy complexion or for extreme highlighting. It’s also water resistant and can be used on both your face and body for a glowy effect.

Lightly apply on the bridge of your nose, cupid’s bow, and top of your cheekbones. Then blend with your Beauty Blender.

Step 5: Use Powder

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish. After highlighting, I apply MAC’s Mineralize Skin Finish in medium to give my skin a natural-looking finish.

Step 6: Contour With Bronzer

Benefit Hoola Bronzer. My favorite bronzer is Benefit’s Hoola. It gives you a nice bronzy glow without turning orange. Apply your bronzer in the shape of a 3, sweeping across the forehead, under your cheekbones, and along the jawline. As you apply, brush in circles and blend.

And that’s it. How easy was that?! Now you have a gorgeous highlight and contour.
