Transitioning your Skincare for Fall

Pumpkin spice lattes are back and that can only mean one thing: fall is on its way! As we transition to fall, our skincare regime needs to adapt for cooler temps and dryer air. Here's how.

Refresh Skin With Exfoliation

Getting rid of dead skin cells will reveal the smooth fresh skin underneath and allow for better absorption of skincare products. By using A CHEMICAL EXFOLIANT, not only will it remove the top layers of dead skin to reveal healthy skin below, but it can also hydrate the skin and help treat acne.

Ingredients to look for include AHA, BHA, glycolic acid, and enzymes like pumpkin or papaya. La Belle offers AHA/BHA exfoliation by chemical peel. Clients can also purchase in-person A Natural Difference's Phyto-Pumpkin Enzyme Peel (5%) to use in the comfort of their own home.

We're also loving a Natural Difference's Glycolic Creme, an exfoliant that works while you sleep!

And don't forget to exfoliate your body, too. Remove dull skin with Uncharted Artistry Body Love's Rosette Body Polish available for purchase at La Belle Studio locations.

Ramp Up Hydration

Once your skin is exfoliated, it's time to focus on hydration. How you layer your skincare will affect your results. Always apply serums first, followed by moisturizers.

For fall (through winter), switch your moisturizer to one that contains more humectants in it, ingredients that boost hydration by binding water to the skin. Some examples of natural humectants are Hyaluronic acid, honey, aloe, Alpha hydroxy acid, algae, and seaweed.

Also adding Vitamin C to your daily routine will provide your skin with a slew of brightening benefits including improved hydration and even skin tone. Our holy grail product is A Natural Difference's Cellular Repair Concentrate Vitamin C+.

But not all products that promote Vitamin C are the same, and packaging matters. To get the best results, purchase products that are packaged in opaque (dark, blocks sunlight), air-restrictive glass bottles or pump glass containers, so the Vitamin C remains stable. Not Sure How Much Product to Use?

Got products, but not sure the proper amount to use? A picture is worth a 1,000 words. This image proves a little product goes a long way.

Always remember to cleanse morning and night, use serums underneath your moisturizers, dab eye cream on your orbital bone with your ring finger, and always masque after you exfoliate.
