We're going to let you in on a little secret: one type of skincare mask doesn't cut it. Different areas of the face require different treatments. When you have an oily t-zone and dry cheeks, an allover face mask will only be able to target one of those problems.
Ditch the one mask fits all philosophy and jump on board with Multi-Masking.
Multi-Masking uses several different treatments at the same time to target specific areas on the face, enabling you to create a customized masking treatment.
Prepping for Application
Before application, make sure your skin is clean and all traces of makeup have been removed. At La Belle, we carry the Fresh Faced Skincare, which includes a Purifying Facial Bar, $10, perfect for cleansing your skin.
Tailoring Your Masks
Depending on your skin type and concerns, you may need only two masks, or you may need more.
If you are suffering from breakouts on your nose and chin, but your forehead and cheeks are flaky, here you'll need two masks. Apply a charcoal mask to your nose and chin, and then a hydrating mask to your forehead and cheeks to boost moisture.
On the other hand, let's say you have breakouts on your forehead and nose, plus under eye bags, and dry cheeks. Here apply a charcoal mask to the forehead and nose, an eye mask around the eyes, and a hydrating mask to the cheeks. For this scenario, it takes three masks total to achieve your targeted skincare.
Remember to Switch Up Your Masks, Too
Just like you change your skincare for the seasons, don't forget to switch up your Multi-Masking regime, too. For instance, you may find you're more prone to breakouts in the summer and less in the winter when dry skin takes over.
If you're not sure what your skin type is or what types of masks you should be using, don't hesitate to ask us. We want our clients to practice good skincare habits which enhance and complement our facial services that we provide at La Belle.
