'Tis the Season for Beautiful Lashes

Fa-la-la-lashes! The holidays are here and you know what that means: office parties, family gatherings, and New Year's Eve. Make your eyes show stopping in-person (and in photos) with lash extensions. And unlike a party dress that you'll only wear once, your lash extensions will carry you through the holidays and beyond.

If you've been on the fence about trying lash extensions, or it's been a while since your last set, there's no better time than now for lush fringe. Ready to deck your lashes? Here's what you need to know.

Choosing a Lash Set

Lash extensions add length and volume to your natural lashes, making you appear more youthful and wide-eyed. They give clients the option to have full, fluffy, fresh fringe without a swipe of mascara (unless they want to apply).

La Belle offers three types of lash sets: Classic Lashes, Volume Lashes, and Classic/Volume Mixed Sets.

Classic Lash Full Set: Lashes are applied to your natural lashes in a 1:1 ratio, with one lash extension per natural lash. Depending on the artist level (Apprentice, Junior, Senior, Master) La Belle's Classic Lashes range from $150-$240 for a full set.

Volume Lash Full Set: Gives a fluffy full look. It consists of 3-6 individual lashes that create a fan that's applied to one natural lash. The lash thickness is typically between .05-.07 in diameter. Volume lashes can give weaker natural lashes a fuller, fluffier look that's fully customizable. A Volume Full Set is $340.

A Mixed Classic and Volume Set is the best of both worlds ($300). Here's a La Belle client with a Mixed Classic and Volume Full Set.

Maintaining Your Lashes

Keep your lashes looking beautiful during the holidays and in the coming year, by staying on top of your lash maintenance.

For every day cleansing, use a gentle cleanser to keep your lashes clean. Fresh Faced Skincare makes a great Gentle Cleanser and Foam Pump Bottle that we love. And here's a handy lash tip: to dry wet lashes, gently blow dry on a LOW COOL SETTING.

If you use oil-based products, avoid them around the eyes; Oil breaks down the lash bond. Also avoid direct heat. Contact with extreme heat can singe your lashes, so skip roasting chestnuts over an open fire, or anything else that brings you in direct contact with an open flame.

And if you'll be traveling to a warmer climate during the holidays (LUCKY YOU!) check out our helpful tips from our Summer Lash Care post, which addresses warm weather (and beach) lash care concerns.

Staying on Top of Relashes

Lash extensions can last anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks. To maintain a fuller appearance, make sure you book your Relash as soon as possible since our spots fill up fast.

To maintain your Classic Lashes, choose between a Three-Week Relash (60 minutes) $65, or a Four-Week Relash (75 minutes) $85. For Volume Lashes, there's the 75 minutes for $110, and 90 minutes for $130. And for a Mixed Classic and Volume Full Set, there's a 60 Minute Relash for $85, or 75 Minute Relash for $105.
